About Scott

Scott, the owner of this site, is a SharePoint lover and an unapologetic follower of ITIL and MOF.  He loves processes, and he loves to type.  Scott used to teach English, so he will insist on two spaces after a full stop (period) in a sentence.  He has his pet peeves, which many could also construe as a deeply rooted psychosis.  ITIL and MOF are relatively recent in Scott's vocabulary though.  After starting with his current position, his employer said that Scott needed to get the ITIL v3 Foundation certification.  He has been hooked ever since. 

Why MadWhiteHatter?

A white hat is the industry term for an ethical hacker.  Scott finds himself involved with that topic quite often and attends 2600 events whenever possible.  He came up with the username a few years ago when someone on MySpace wanted to buy his old username, Brew.  He was studying for the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) exams while watching the music video for Tom Petty's Don't Come Around Here No More, and it just hit perfectly.  That said, he still gets asked if he hates white people.  Silly non-IT people.
